These magnificent volunteers have helped to make a huge impact on their local community by raising over $60,000.
The funds will be used by Cancer Council to provide its free Transport to Treatment Services for eligible cancer patients who would struggle to get to treatment; Information Services within the hospital helping people access reliable cancer information; deliver cancer prevention programs by encouraging cancer-smart lifestyles through the Eat It To Beat It Program; and SunSmart Program supporting childcare services and primary schools to develop and implement best practice sun protection.
Additionally, our Pro Bono Program which helps relieve the financial burden by providing access to free legal, financial planning and workplace advice.
Monies raised at Relay helps Cancer Council NSW investigate new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer, to educate people in our community about ways to reduce their cancer risk and to support people during their times of greatest need.
