A second person has died in hospital overnight following a toxic gas leak at Ettamogah’s Norske Skog plant.

Albury Wodonga Health has confirmed a 36-year-old man lost his fight for life after he had been taken to the hospital it critical condition.
It comes after a 28-year-old man died on Thursday,
Another 22-year-old man is still in a critical condition.
The three men had been left unconscious while working atop an indoor water tank between 1pm and 1.30pm, when they were overcome by a gas believed to be hydrogen sulphide.
The hospital said 14 of the other 15 people taken to hospital after the incident on Thursday afternoon had been discharged, with one remaining in a stable condition.
Norske Skog general manager Milo Foster extended his and the company’s deepest sympathies to the employees’ families.
“Our first concern is to our employees, their families and everyone affected by this tragic accident,” he said.
“We will provide support to those affected and work with authorities to investigate what happened.”
SafeWork NSW was on site on Thursday and will be investigating the incident.
Mr Foster said Norske Skog was fully cooperating with all investigations.
