The performance will include music and speaking with students on the theme celebrate youth – the life you’re living.
College principal Anne O’Brien says some 900 year 6 and year 7 students from St Agnes’ Parish will be attending the performance.
“Jesse has a following over 9000 on social media platforms,” Ms O’Brien said.
“This performance is a follow on from the Diocesan-wide initiative ‘proclaim year of youth’ which focuses on inviting students into a deeper relationship with Christ and encouraging them to respond to this invitation with a greater commitment.
“It is a great privilege for us to host such an inspirational performer who is genuinely interested in journeying with them.”
Jesse is a composer, singer/songwriter, storyteller, humourist, catechist, evangeliser and encourager.
Working with any and every age group, Jesse has that knack to build instant rapport, connect to his audience, and create life-giving memories that help deepen faith and cultivate the joy that inspires service, sacrifice and the celebration of life, Ms O’Brien said.
“Jesse earned an MA in multicultural ministries from the Franciscan School of Theology, Berkeley, CA, and gives concerts, workshops, parish missions, and retreats.
“Jesse’s music is published by Oregon Catholic Press and Spirit & Song (a division of OCP).
“In 2014, Jesse received the National Catholic Youth Award, for Presenter/Artist Category by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministries, INC.y.”
