Pardoe was a stalwart for the Port Macquarie club for many years and the day is held each year to honour her work for the club.
The trophy has been presented annually for the past 27 years.
The winner of the prestigious Dawn Pardoe trophy was Kane Love with 10.42 points and hot on his heels was Michael Chapman with 7.76 points.
The club’s barbecue and weigh-in commenced at midday and was very well supported by members, families and friends.
There was a wide variety of fish that greeted the weigh-master including spotted mackerel, jewfish, trag, snapper, pigfish, pearl perch, morwong, leatherjackets, trevally and flathead.
The best boat on the day was ‘Seastorm’ skippered by Michael Chapman who compiled an impressive 22.24 points and the runner-up was ‘Gunna’ skippered by Jim Fischer with 8.86 points.
The award for the heaviest catch was won by Kane Love with 10.42 points.
The award for the best Morwong was tied between Zac Cottrell and Kate Shelton and the prize for the best of other species went to Kane Love with his impressive spotted mackerel tipping the scales at just over seven kilograms (7.14kg).
The most species caught award was won by Kate Shelton with five species and the secret weight went to Zac Cottrell.
Zac topped off his great day by also taking out the club’s junior award.
The raffle was won by Jim Fischer and the club’s marble draw was won by Lyn Fatches.
The club’s next outing will be held on Sunday, June 3. Anyone wishing to join the club or attend the weigh-ins and barbecue are most welcome.
