The auction was staged by commercial property specialists Burgess Rawson.
The Cathie Road site is secured with a 20-year lease to regional childcare provider, Little Beginnings, which has 13 early learning centres across New South Wales.
Burgess Rawson Sydney Childcare Specialist, Michael Vanstone, said childcare properties attracted strong sales at this month’s auction, with this Port Macquarie site proving particularly popular among savvy investors on the day.
“Childcare assets continue to be a hot topic for both media and property investors. The buyer of this property was drawn to the secure tenant and prime location in Port Macquarie,” Mr Vanstone said.
“The long lease is only strengthened by excellent lease terms – this really is a trophy property and one of the best opportunities to hit the market in recent years.
“In addition to the site’s strong performance and secure tenancy arrangements, the site benefits from its position within one of Port Macquarie’s premier suburbs.”
The site encompasses a 100-place childcare centre on a 3,120sqm landholding.
