It is no Windsor Castle, but standing before family and friends on the deck at Water’s Edge in Port Macquarie will be a dream come true for the pair, who say their love story started at the Macca (Port Macquarie Hotel).
“I was out with a few of my friends drinking at the Macca one night and I saw this chick across the bar,” Matthew said.
“I said to my mates I had to meet her. Little did I know how good that decision turned out to be.
“It was basically love at first sight.
“We had some mutual friends, which was good, and the rest is history.”
Both, originally from Melbourne, have lived all over the world and say nowhere beats Port Macquarie.
“We love living here, my parents lived here and I was coming up regularly to see them, but when I met Matthew I knew I would definitely be moving here – and that was five years ago now,” Andrea said.

“And I mean why not, we are literally living in paradise.”
Asked if they are concerned about the Royal Wedding upstaging their day, the couple said absolutely not.
“We decided on our date last June so when people ask we always say Prince Harry and Meghan Markle picked our date, not the other way around,” she said.
“I think our wedding will have just as much sparkle and it is kind of nice to think they might be as happy as us tomorrow.
“But I do feel bad for her in a way. We are both going to be having our special days tomorrow but in the lead up she has had so much family drama to deal with as well.
“I mean my family is crazy – but not like that thankfully.”
“I think we are both looking forward to the wedding, we – I mean Andrea – has been planning everything for months now so we are both looking forward to having a big party and celebrating with everyone,” Matthew said.
Despite the clash in dates, Andrea said she wishes Meghan and Prince Harry well, and will tune in to watch the wedding.
“On Sunday we will all be heading to my mum’s house and we will sit down and watch the Royal Wedding over brunch as a bit of fun,” Andrea said.
“It will be fun to watch the wedding, and weirdly and myself and Matthew, and Meghan and Prince Harry are the same age apart which is a fun fact.”
After the wedding the couple say they will delay the honeymoon until Christmas, but holiday plans are well underway.
“We won’t be heading on our honeymoon straight away but we are going to New Caledonia at Christmas which we are both looking forward to,” she said.
