The group, which has members who meet three days a week, were buzzing with enthusiasm and excitement as they ate cakes and drank tea raising money for the Cancer Council.
President of the club, Sue Jenner said it was a great event for the club.
“Our annual Biggest Morning Tea is a great opportunity for all our members to come together for a lovely day of tea and chatting,” Ms Jenner said.
“It is also a chance for us to invite friends and quilters from around the Hastings – with some members from Wauchope coming to town especially for the morning tea.”
Around 60 ladies gathered at the Sailing Club for the morning tea with drinking and talking high on the agenda for the outing.
Timeless Quilter Clarissa Rabey also said the morning was a chance to catch up with people who quilt on different days.
“I come to the club on a different day to some of the ladies I am friends with so as well as raising money for the Cancer Council it is a great opportunity for us all to come together and catch up,” Ms Rabey said.
