They face their toughest test to date on Saturday at Sawtell when they clash with Northern Rivers.
After wins over Central Coast and CRL Newcastle along the way, they have shown coach Dean Hurrell they can adapt to different situations.
They defeated Central Coast 24-22 before they backed it up with a 44-16 hammering of Newcastle last weekend.
Halves Mitchell Hart and Latrell Hampton have led the way, while Owen Blair has always been a threat at fullback.
“We’ve always known what Owey can do,” Hurrell said.
“Teams now know that if they want to give him room, he’s the best on the North Coast at making you pay.”
Hurrell said Blair should expect less room to move against Northern Rivers.
“He’s got to know he’ll be targeted, but they still have to be able to defend in numbers,” he said.
“He’ll just need to be a bit smarter.”
The semi-final fixture at Sawtell will be streamed live on the Country Rugby League website from midday on Saturday.
