Donna completed the Ironman Australia course in a time of 13:06. It took her 1.07 to finish the swim, 6:45 for the bike leg and 4:59 for the run.
Donna said she had such a fun day and gave out a lot of high fives and cuddles to all her supporters along the way.
“I had people who were cheering me on all the way from Port Macquarie down to Dunbogan,” she said.
“I had to stop just for that brief moment to thank them, as they were the ones got me there.”
The last time Donna competed in an Ironman race was 19 years ago. Back then she completed the race in a time of 12.52.
Throughout the 2018 event Donna said she never let herself give in and kept going strong till the finish line.
Donna said she was in fantastic spirits both physically and mentally at the race end.
