Working in partnership with Coles, president of The Rotary Club of Port Macquarie West, Tony Lanzafame said it was great for his club to get out into the community and to help such a worthy cause.
“We are always passionate about helping in our community and after our club recently visited Endeavour House we really wanted to do something to help them, help our community,” Mr Lanzafame said.
“I think it was important to all of us to give back to an organisation that dedicates themselves to helping those with mental health issues and so we decided to donate all the funds from our recent Mother’s Day raffle.
“Each year we do this raffle and raise funds for local charities and after our touching vocational visit in April it seemed like a fantastic idea to pick them.”
Mr Lanzafame said the club raised well over $2000 from the raffle.
“We are still waiting on the final dollar amount but it is certainly over $2000 which is fantastic for a raffle we spent two weeks selling,” he said.
The raffle was won by D. Neil.
