A report into domestic airline on time performances for March 2018 shows the Port Macquarie to Sydney route is the least punctual when it comes to departures.

The Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics monitors the punctuality and reliability of major domestic airlines.
The reports includes domestic airlines, QantasLink and Virgin Australia and only includes domestic routes where passenger load averaged 8000 or more passengers per month over the previous six months and where two or more airlines operated in competition on those routes.
There were 66 routes that met this definition for the March 2018 report.
Port Macquarie Airport recorded the lowest percentage of on time arrivals (65.2 percent) and the lowest percentage of on time departures (63.8 percent) on its route to and from Sydney.
Across all airports, Virgin Australia achieved the highest on time arrivals among the major domestic airlines at 84.9 percent followed by Qantas at 83.2 percent.
Of the regional airlines, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines recorded 84.2 percent for on time arrivals, followed by QantasLink at 83.1 percent.
The Qantas network - the combined operations of Qantas and QantasLink - recorded 83.2 percent for on time arrivals while the Virgin Australia network - Virgin Australia and Virgin Australia Regional Airlines - recorded 84.8 percent.
Virgin Australia also achieved the highest level of on time departures among the major domestic airlines for March 2018 at 86.1 percent, followed by Qantas at 82.4 percent, Jetstar at 77.8 percent and Tigerair Australia at 69.0 percent.
Of the regional airlines, Regional Express recorded 85.4 percent for on time departures, followed by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines at 84.9 percent and QantasLink at 83.5 percent.
The Qantas network recorded 82.9 percent for on time departures while the Virgin Australia network recorded 86 percent.
Virgin Australia Regional Airlines recorded the highest percentage of cancellations (3.0 percent) during the month, followed by Tigerair Australia (2.3 per cent), QantasLink (1.7 percent), Virgin Australia (1.2 percent), Jetstar (1.1 percent), Qantas (0.7 percent) and Regional Express (0.5 percent).
The figures only refer to reported routes and do not cover all flights at these airports, the report noted.
