Mick passed away on Thusday April 5 after an incident at Oxley Beach.
His funeral service was on Tuesday April 17.
In his eulogy, Mick was described as a quiet, funny and inquisitive person who was genuinely interested in other people.
"He loved to hear their stories, often asking questions for hours," his eulogy read.
He was very laid back and could not be hurried his brother in law Greg Crawford said.
“He lived by his own clock and got around to things in his own time," Greg said.
"I've never known Mick to say a bad word about anybody. He was always smiling, no matter what sort of a day he had.

"He was fun to be around as he loved to recall funny memories and had an infectious laugh.
But it was his love of music that Mick is best remembered.
He was a big fan of Elvis and as a young man loved to go to discos and 'dance until the sun came up'.
More recently, that love of music saw him join the choir for the School of Hard Knocks, which he enjoyed immensely.
But that was not the full extent of his community involvement.
He donated to numerous charities and volunteered at the Port Macquarie Maritime Museum and in the last couple of years volunteered three days a week with the Friends of Kooloonbung.
His role was taking care of the nature reserve, which he took great pride in and really enjoyed, Greg said.
"Although Mick was shy and didn't seek attention, he made an impression on those he met," he added.
Mick had lots of different jobs over the years and was a qualified diesel mechanic and also worked as a bus driver, taxi and limousine driver.
Greg said the McCudden family was touched by the kind words and messages of support they have received.
