It was part of the Douglas Vale Heritage Open Day program on April 21.
Visitors also enjoyed entertainment, stalls and guided tours of the homestead.
Douglas Vale Historic Homestead and Vineyard public relations and function coordinator Kay Morrison said Douglas Vale was such an important part of Port Macquarie’s history.
The homestead is the oldest timber homestead in the Hastings.
The vineyard is last remaining fabric of a successful wine industry of the 1800s.
Volunteers maintain the property.
Mrs Morrison said the open day raised awareness about Douglas Vale and its historical significance to the community.
“The amazing thing about Douglas Vale is the artefacts in the homestead that were donated back by family members,” she said.
“There is so much history inside the homestead as well as all the outbuildings.”
