Port Macquarie’s born and bred Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins is set to make his mark on centre stage as the Bachelor on the WIN television program The Bachelor Australia.

While Nick may be better known as a rugby star and Aussie larrikin, he also has a caring side which came out during a visit to the Camden Haven in 2016.
Nick provided inspiration to Laurieton resident and wheelchair rugby ‘nut’ Harry Clist when he visited St Joseph’s Primary School.
Harry was stunned in 2016 when Cummins presented him with a signed Wallabies training shirt and autographed photo.
The message on the shirt read ‘To Clisty, kick the tyres and light the fires. Follow ur dream mate!’
Nick urged the St Joseph’s students to get involved with team sports as a way to make friends and create memories that last for life.
“Pick a goal and work hard,” he said.
Cummins also spoke frankly about the responsibility of representing your country and yourself at the elite level of sport.
As one of Australian rugby’s most-loved characters, Nick has celebrated a 15 Test match career with the Australian Wallabies, played a season with the Australian Sevens, earned a Commonwealth Games silver medal and played with the Western Force and in Japan.
Earning the moniker “Honey Badger” because of his strength, ferocity and toughness, Nick displayed a flamboyant, never-say-die approach on the field.
Nick said he is really looking forward to throwing everything at this opportunity to finding the one on The Bachelor Australia.
“The past 10 or so years I’ve been on the road playing rugby or working on my projects, so I’m very excited to be part of a show that is centred around love and good times,” he said.
