A MAN has been treated at Port Macquarie Base Hospital after an alleged assault at Flynns Beach overnight.

The 48-year-old man was allegedly assaulted in Everard Street at about 2.30am on March 6, according to a NSW Ambulance spokesperson.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and treated the man for numerous wounds to his head, including bruising and lacerations, before transporting him to Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
Police have been told the man was hit over the head with a glass bottle.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District commenced inquiries into the incident.
Following investigations, a 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
