After results last weekend, finals positions were determined with Enduro, Port Phoenix progressing to the next stage.
The clash between Warriors and Phoenix on Saturday was an important one with both teams on equal points.
Led strongly by Chris Gavrily, Jenny Clarke and Jackie Darcy, Phoenix emerged with a strong 10-5 win.
Courtney Owen was also strong for Phoenix with bat in hand.
It was despite the best efforts of the Warriors’ Chie Matthews who led a brief fightback at the bottom of the sixth innings, but it was all too late.
Phoenix’s five-run win ensured they finished the minor rounds on top of the table.
In the other game, Enduro proved far too strong for Diamonds and registered a comprehensive 28-1 victory.
Georgia Boland playing for Diamonds took a fly ball that would have been the “play of the day.”
In division one matches next weekend, Enduro will play Port Phoenix from 3pm with the winner going through to the grand final.
Warriors will play Lakes at 1pm, while in division two Diamonds will play the Local Lawyers.
