Police are continuing their investigations into a fire that caused damage to a work ute parked in the back yard of a home on Marsden Crescent.

Police said the owner of the vehicle – a VE Holden – was woken by the car fire just prior to 6am.
“The work ute was parked in the backyard of the house,” a police spokesperson said.
“Fire and Rescue NSW, Port Macquarie brigade attended and extinguished the fire.
“Because there was no obvious cause of the blaze, police crime scene from Taree also attended.”
Investigations into the fire are continuing.
A second vehicle parked nearest the fire also received some minor paint damage, police said.
