Two-time grape stomping champion Brad Smith returned to claim his crown taking out the annual competition with team-mate Oscar Guardado at Bago vineyard on February 11.
Hundreds of people flocked to the popular event on Sunday which saw 12 teams battle it out for the main title.
Smith was named champion in 2016 with a family history of grape stomping glory.
“It really comes down to just stomping as many grapes as you can,” Smith said.
The Port News and Wauchope Gazette teams are known to enjoy a fine drop and didn’t run out of juice when it came to the media battle.
Port News was named champions with Prime 7 close behind in second place and the Wauchope Gazette third.
Organiser Ian Adams said it has been another successful year for the event.
