The nine-year-old, who has his sights set on a professional bull riding career, became the All-Round Under 18 Junior Cowboy Champion for accumulating the most points at rodeos for 2017 while also adding the Under eight to 11 steer title to his name.
Levi’s father Dean was proud of his son’s achievements.
“It makes all of the travel and hard work worth it for Levi,” Dean said.
“He competed almost every weekend last year.
“He was pretty excited and very happy, he’s very passionate about bull riding.”
Levi was presented with two national final buckles and a national finals pendant, along with other great prizes.
“Levi would like to thank all his great sponsors and Chris Wilson for his great support and being there in the chute at every rodeo,” Dean said.
Levi won’t participate in as many rodeos in 2018 but he will still be a regular on the circuit.
The Ward family would like to thank Levi’s sponsors; Tumblegum Bakehouse, Mavin Truck Centre, RedPoint, NRMA Kempsey, Kempsey Stock and Land and Fishers Asphalt for their continued support which allows Levi to travel Australia and compete in rodeos.
