A pre-paid funeral not only makes financial sense, according to the Australian Funeral Directors Association, it can help protect families from having to make difficult decisions during an emotional time.
The price of a funeral can be fixed at today's costs while ensuring exact wishes are made known and carried out.
Some considerations include the type and style of funeral service, viewing arrangements, which coffin or casket is preferred and whether the individual would like a particular minister or celebrant to carry out the service. People can also state whether they wish to be buried or cremated, at which cemetery or crematorium.
Preferences for death notices, flowers, and poems or music can also be specified.

The caring team
Daniel and Helen Gough and their caring team, take tremendous pride in offering a personalised service that meets the needs of yourself and your family. Daniel and Helen have owned and operated the business since the early 2000’s when they bought the business from Graham Bayes. It’s been a family ever since then. As the backbone of the business, they provide amazing insight and experience to all the team. They both love the Hastings region and consider it a privilege to serve the community
Sharon Gough is the primary funeral consultant, she has been a florist and small business owner before she started selling headstones and monuments. She has been in floristry all her career and has over eight years experience in this industry. She loves working with families and her efficiency and empathic manner make her a much-valued member of the team.
Michael Gough is the manager and director, married to Sharon and is Daniel and Helen’s son. He’s been in the industry for 14 years and is responsible for the mortuary and all behind the scenes logistics. He is an exceptional director, attending all funerals and making sure everything runs smoothly. He has the natural ability to put all at ease and he shows great compassion for those during their time of need.
Phil Priest is the is the facilities manager and director and although he is the only member of the team who is not a Gough, he is treated like one of the family. Although he has only been the manager here since the beginning of 2017, he has spent all his life in “people” business. Previously he was a funeral director in Tasmania and has over 12 years experience. He tells us that it is a privilege to support families as they go through some of the toughest hours of their life.
