He was elected to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council to represent the people of the Camden Haven area, yet he persists in head-hunting David Gillespie on a federal level instead of devoting his time to local issues.

If that is where your priorities lie sir, resign your council position and let someone who is interested in local priorities fill your position and you can pursue your Labor passions elsewhere.
