It’s been the performance of all-rounder Tony Brown that has done the damage over the last month.
Brown has taken 10 wickets in the last four matches, including 4-14 in last week’s 51-run win over Taree West.
Captain Matt Day refers to him as a burglar, but Brown just puts it down to bowling stump-to-stump.
“It has surprised me (to get the wickets),” Brown said.
“But you just put the ball on the spot and let the batsmen make the mistake.”
The 43-year-old admitted he had some support from his opening bowlers who made the early inroads.
“Matty Miller has been bowling really well at the top,” he said.
Brown admitted Wauchope should be situated higher on the ladder.
“Our batting has let us down and it would be nice to see one or two of the top order get a big score,” he said.
