Port Macquarie-Hastings Mayor Peta Pinson said the weekend will be a celebration of food and produce from the Hastings region.
“Celebrity Chef Matt Golinski will join us again this year, and will showcase his love of locally grown produce at various locations across the weekend,” she said.
The satellite events include Local Beer and Tapas Degustation, Celebrate Local: A Seafood Feast, the Wauchope Farmers Market and the Long Lazy Lunch.
Matt Golinski will also host The Sustainable Table, at the Lost Plot Community Garden, where he will incorporate a cooking demonstration to show just how easy fresh and healthy cooking can be.
The highly coveted event, is not to be missed, and regardless of the weather the show will go on, with Tastings on Hastings organiser Lucilla Marshall saying it is all systems go for the weekend.
“We are excited that Matt Golinski is coming back for another Tastings and will be very involved in events over the weekend.
“From the Wauchope Farmers Market to a number of cooking demonstrations at the Main Event to visiting the Lost Plot Community Garden; there will be a number of opportunities to meet and have a chat to Matt,” Ms Marshall said.
“Matt will be at the Lost Plot Community Garden from first thing Sunday morning and will spend some time foraging in the garden before deciding what to make for The Sustainable Table.
“He will also conduct some cooking demonstrations for people to see just how easy it is to make healthy and quick meals,” she said.
“There will be lots of different and exciting things happening over the weekend, from Greek and Thai food, to cocktails, cider, wine and cooking demonstrations there really will be something for everyone,” Ms Marshall said.
“Over the weekend we also have a great entertainment line up planned, including bands and demonstrations on the Town Green for people to enjoy.”
