The Sovereign Hills Display Village can now officially lay claim to four award-winning house designs following the first stage of this year’s industry awards season.

The village is now home to two HIA Northern NSW Housing Awards category winners, two MBA Excellence in Building Awards category winners and the MBA’s Housing Builder of the Year for the Mid North Coast region and beyond.

Hotondo Homes Port Macquarie was thrilled to claim the Best Display Home in the $301,000 - $350,000 price range for the eco-friendly Hume 244 design.

“We were overwhelmed to win this award, judged by our industry peers,” shared Hotondo Homes Client Consultant Dean Thompson.

“The Hume 244 is our first Port Macquarie display. We’ve put our best foot forward and this award recognises the quality of our workmanship.”

Perry Homes took out the Best Display Home in the $250,001 - $300,000 category for the Aspen 208 design. “This four-bedroom home is one of our most popular plans and has been specifically designed to suit narrow lots,” said Perry Homes Marketing Manager Kaye Durre.

“This meticulously planned design is the perfect home for first home buyers and investors, as it represents great value for money, with the judges saying it shows great detail throughout.”

Port Macquarie’s Pycon Homes and Constructions was crowned the MBA’s Housing Builder of the Year for 2017 - for the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast regions.

“We all take a lot of pride in our work and to have this recognised at a regional level – against some really tough competitors – is fantastic,” Pycon General Manager Adam Suitor said.

The Pycon team also won the category awards for both their single and two-storey display homes, as well as best custom-built home ($400,000 - $700,000 category) for a client.

“This is an amazing honour for our relatively modest, local company and highlights the great work of our team and contractors,” Mr Suitor added.

The builders will now proceed to the HIA state and MBA national awards.
