Some fabulous photographs have been on display, as Wauchope Photography Group hosted a very prestigious annual competition.
Topshot is held by the Federation of Camera Clubs NSW (FCC). It attracts very high quality entries from very talented photographers throughout NSW.
2,000 people entered, and the winning photos were on display at the Wauchope RSL Club.
Sue Shaw from Wauchope Photography Club said it had been a brilliant event.
“Quite a few people are interested in joining the club, which is great. The entries are amazing. I walked around thinking: ‘I wish I could take photos like that,’” she said.
The standard this year was very high. People came from all around the Hastings and from Taree, Walcha and Coffs Harbour to have a look.
Competition secretary Russell Field was delighted with the turnout.
“We had 100 visitors through the door. The overall standard of photographs was exceptional,” he said.
There are eight sections in the competition, and the winner, Denise Perentin from the Central Coast won four of the those eight.
Denise only took up the hobby six years ago and is an inspiration for aspiring photographers.
