Lake Cathie Fishing Club hosted its annual charity fish auction with great success.
The club has hosted the fish auction for many years with proceeds from Sunday’s event to be donated to the Lake Cathie Rural Fire Service and Laurieton Marine Rescue.
Around 250 local fishing enthusiasts and young anglers donated their weekend catch to the event with many species including bream, flathead, snapper, jewfish, blackfish, whiting, tailor, leather jacket and perl perch going under the charity auction hammer throughout the afternoon.
The auctioneer entertained the crowd at the family fun day which included a sausage sizzle and games for the kids.
