Port Macquarie CWA Branch has donated $4000 to Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse which supports people with mental illness in their recovery.
The branch raised more than $3000 through three events – a fashion show, garage sale and antique tea.
Executive member Joan Rose said the branch rounded the donation up to $4000.
Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse director Rob Moorehead thanked the branch for its support.
“It’s just amazing that a group of dedicated ladies can work so hard to support a program like Endeavour,” he said.
The Port Macquarie CWA Branch has given money to 10 organisations in the local community since October 2016.
Beneficiaries include Endeavour Clubhouse, as well as gifts of rugs to nursing homes, teddy bears to emergency services, dressed dolls to children’s homes, and bags, made by several of the handicraft ladies, which included a rug and teddy bear.
The branch thanks the community for its support.
