Fire and Rescue NSW personnel were called to the blaze in Hay Street at about 3am on May 26.
A vacant cottage located behind the station’s old headquarters was well alight.
Two fire crews were dispatched to extinguish the fire before it impacted on adjoining properties.
Hazmat was called to the scene and decontaminated the area due to the presence of asbestos in the house.
Police crime scene officers investigated the remains of the structure throughout Friday.
