Mark Champion was impressed with his team’s performance against a strong Tamworth outfit, as they look ahead to this weekend’s clash with Central Coast away from home.
“Tamworth is always a really hard team (but) we played really well,” he said. “We were short handed with a few players dropping out due to illness, but we really did play well and I was proud of the team. We were in the game the whole time.”
The coach was impressed with his captain, Ryan Adams, who stepped up when it was needed. “He was fantastic, scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds, so he really wound back the clock with that performance.”
