ONE man has been arrested and another is on the run after a short police pursuit in Port Macquarie on December 1.

Officers attached to Port Macquarie Highway Patrol attempted to stop a black Subaru WRX at around 9.50am but the car failed to stop.
Police pursued the Subaru for a short distance before it crashed into a road sign and the two occupants of the Subaru ran.
Officers from Mid North Coast Local Area Command arrested a 28-year-old man, believed to be the passenger, nearby. The other man fled the scene.
Inside the car, police allegedly located 28 grams of amphetamine, 2.7 grams of methamphetamine and a sum of cash.
The 28-year-old man was taken Port Macquarie Police Station where he was charged with failing to disclose the driver’s identity.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
Inquiries to establish the identity of the driver are continuing and anyone with information to assist police is urged to come forward.
