The annual exhibition and sale starts at 7pm in Hamilton House on Hastings River Drive.
The prices range from $80 up to $2000 and pieces include acrylics, landscapes, ceramics, pastels and more.
The exhibit is free to enter, but there is a donation box at the door. There will also be a raffle to win one or more of the artworks.
The society has been in continuous operation since 1898, providing an outlet for the creative artisans of the community at Hamilton House.
Secretary Maureen Cooke said in those days Hibbard was larger than Port Macquarie.
"Hamilton House was the local meeting place," Mrs Cooke said.
The annual Christmas exhibit continues the tradition established so long ago.
"There will be 250 pieces on show until February 28," Mrs Cooke said.
The diverse exhibition – it even boasts a selection of Christmas cards, includes an opening night featuring drinks and nibbles.
The society's annual general meeting is on at 6pm for members only while the official art opening is at 7pm.
The exhibition will be on display from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday, and on Sunday from 8am until 1pm through to February 28.
