The Good Guys Port Macquarie has supported Early Connections for the past three years and donated over $12,000 in cash and goods to the organisation as part of their Local Giving program.
The Good Guys has donated three prizes for the raffle – a 42-inch JVC television valued at $500, Sunbeam barbecue valued at $200 and Nespresso Machine also worth $200.
Funds from The Good Guys are currently used to assist with the costs of running services at Early Connections such as the Baby-Toddler Playgroup.
The fortnightly playgroup, co-ordinated by Early Childhood Teacher Katie Freeman, provides much needed support for young children with a disability or developmental delay and their families.
The group is also supported by a physiotherapist, speech pathologist and occupational therapist.
“The playgroup is an opportunity for families to connect with others who are on a similar journey and going through similar things,” Ms Freeman said.
“They are able to bounce ideas off each other about what’s been working for them and share developmental achievements within a supportive environment.”
Raffle tickets are available for purchase from the Early Connections office at 41 Munster Street or by calling 6583 8238.
The raffle will be drawn at 2pm on December 9.
