It comes as the public support continues to gather momentum in the Hastings.
Former Port Macquarie resident Simone Lye, who now works as a freelance travel writer in the United Kingdom, is right behind the idea.
She heard about the campaign through Facebook, and Ms Lye got involved through her blog, the Aussie Flashpacker.
The blog's website featured 10 Australian ocean baths, as well as a link to the Tidal Pool for Port Macquarie? Facebook page.
Ms Lye said the tidal pools were popular for good reason.
"Tidal pools are a safer alternative for swimming and paddling, particularly for children and the elderly," she said in an email to Port News.
Ms Lye said she felt a tidal pool would be an "excellent addition" to Port Macquarie's coastline.
She has spent the past two years in the UK, with partner Dan, who is British.
Ms Lye has worked as a legal secretary while travelling extensively through the UK and Europe.
http://Theaussieflashpacker.com documents the pair's travels.
Ms Lye plans to return to Port Macquarie in July to settle.
She hopes to be able to use a tidal pool when she comes back to town.
"I know that I and the majority of people I know in town would use the tidal pool," she said.
"A tidal pool in Port Macquarie would further encourage tourism as well as encouraging members of the community to enjoy our beautiful town, and get out and be active."
The woman behind the campaign, Kathryn Butler, welcomed the support.
"I was really chuffed with that," she said of the blog's mention.
Meanwhile, the push was powering towards 10,000 signatures.
"I'm pretty confident we'll get to 10,000," Ms Butler said.
Ms Butler planned to take a well earned break over Easter, and resume the campaign in coming days.
