One person who knows a lot about nuptials is wedding floristry specialist Ashley Sargeson of Touchwood Flowers Port Macquarie, who has just been announced as a top ten finalist in the Tesselaar 2015 Top Gun Wedding Flowers Competition.
The 30 category finalists were chosen from photographs submitted by more than 1300 entries from many of the nation's 3000 florists.
Now it's over to the public to decide the winner of each category - flowers to wear, flowers to carry, flowers to decorate.
"We believed we were in with a chance with all three categories as we specialise in wedding floristry and have a real passion for our work," Mrs Sargeson said.
Mrs Sargeson is a finalist in the flowers to carry section and needs your help to push her across the line.
"We entered the competition in 2012 and were lucky enough to be selected as finalists for one of our wedding bouquets.
"We entered again in 2013 but were not named as finalists that year."
Mrs Sargeson said choosing which photos to submit, from the hundreds of beautiful wedding designs created over the years, was difficult.
"But we tried to choose bouquets/ arrangements that were all different in colour, texture and variety that displayed our skills as wedding florists.
She said the expert judges from Tesselaar look for quality and professionalism in design, style and composition.
Having completed floral designs for more than 850 weddings in the last decade, Mrs Sargeson and her Touchwood colleague Marilyn Oultram know how to please a bride.
The key to long lasting flowers is the quality of the blooms from their suppliers, Mrs Sargeson said. To vote go to http://facebook.com/tesselaars from 9am, November 16, until 9am, November 26.
