Wendy, also a police officer in Port Macquarie, has essentially built the club from the ground up and will this week officially open the new courts that have been 10 years in the making.
Although that is at the forefront of her mind, she has also been named a for the NSW 2015 Community Sports Volunteer Awards in the category of Community Sport Administrator.
The awards are in Sydney today but with the court opening to take place on Saturday Mrs Hudson won't be able to attend.
She was still thrilled at the nomination and very humbled at being named a finalist.
"I'm honoured that Tennis NSW nominated me in the first place. There are a number of people they could have chosen," she said.
"There's so much more that I still want to do for the Camden Haven and Kendall community. My passion for tennis is what really drives me."
As a junior, Hudson was granted a great opportunity to travel to tournaments by her supportive parents.
"Tennis is something you can play in basically any town. It's a real sport for life," she said.
"I've probably spent too much time doing administration work lately instead of playing, so getting on the court more is a goal of mine."
She will certainly have that opportunity with the brand new complex that will be opened by the legendary John Fitzgerald on Saturday.
Fitzgerald, who won six titles and is amongst Australia's finest ever tennis players, will be at the Kendall Tennis Club to officially unveil the three new tennis courts to the public.
"It's been a 10 year goal to try and get more courts in Kendall," Mrs Hudson said.
"We identified back in 2004 that we needed more so I wouldn't miss it for the world. It's been a long time coming.
"To enjoy this with the community and my family is going to be very special for me."
As part of the celebrations the Australian Open trophy will be on display but not before it pays a visit to the Camden Haven High and Kendall Public School's on Friday.
The festivities will get underway at 11am Saturday.
