Here's a wrap of how each team fared. More will be in Wednesday's Port News.
Port Saints get up in good victory
PORT Saints ground out a good win against Taree Wildcats on Saturday.
The Saint won 3-0 at Findlay Park, thanks to goals to Ibby Khodary, Tyson Devrimol and Tobi Dowton.
The win was pleasing for the Saints' coaching staff as they know they were below their best.
It was vintage Khodary in his penalty strike.
He smashed it past the Cats keeper.
United too good for Kempsey Saints
SIMON Granfield scored a late winner for Port United to keep its finals hopes alive on Saturday.
United beat Kempsey Saints 1-0 at Eden Street.
The Green Bloods missed their captain Andy Collins and vice captain Lucas Heagney for the encounter, leaving a big hole in the squad.
A host of missed opportunities looked like they would cruel the Port team.
"At one stage, I thought someone had put Glad Wrap across the goal," coach Chris Walsh said.
FC goes down to Tigers
TUNCURRY Forster Tigers had too much bite for Port FC on Saturday, beating the boys in blue 5-1 at Tuffins Lane.
Nick Davies scored from the penalty spot for FC in a match coach Tony Wilson described as "the most bizarre" he'd ever seen.
FC had plenty of chances to score more, but it wasn't to be, and the players can start planning Mad Monday.
A positive for the team was Harvey Kaye's form late on. The 15-year-old had a great game when he came on as a substitute.
