Blair scored an astonishing 58 points that's six tries and 17 goals in the South West Rocks Marlins' 110-0 caning of Port Macquarie Boardriders.

The pacey fullback was simply too hard for the Boardies to handle in what will probably go down as the best match of his life.

He backed up the tries with a good kicking day. Blair junior had so many shots at goal he couldn't remember them all.

"I think I missed one or two," he said.

The win was a family affair for the Blairs. Owen and his father, Owen Blair senior, are joined by brother Stephan and uncle Lional in the team.

Stephan plays hooker while the older pair are in the forwards engine room.

Blair junior has been a mainstay in the team this season since the Macleay Valley Mustangs were dumped from the Group 3 competition after winning last season's grand final.

He played fullback that day.

Blair junior doesn't mind where he plays the game.

"Football's football," he said.

His great weekend continued on Sunday when Blair junior came on for Port City Breakers against Wauchope Blues, and scored with his first touch of the ball.

The Breakers beat the Blues 32-8 as they spoiled Beau Kettle's 100th match for Wauchope.

Blair Junior thought the Breakers were going to let the Blues back into the contest at one stage.

"The penalty count was a bit silly," he said.

Hastings League president Geoff Connor said Blair's game on Saturday was probably the most memorable individual performance in the history of the league.

It's hard to compare eras though, especially given tries were once worth three points instead of four.

"We go back a long way," he said.

"It's certainly one of the more remarkable, for sure."
