The Vikings beat Coffs Snappers 36-6 at Oxley Oval after lifting to another gear in the second half.
Andrew Kable's men led 10-6 at the break, but were struggling in the wet conditions.
The Vikings just couldn't hold onto the pill. They made 14 unforced errors in the first half.
Kable said it was hard going in the wet. "The conditions were pretty tough," he said.
Adam McCormack, the eventual man of the match, found his name on the scoresheet twice.
Ethan Hyde, Tom Sheaves, Dan Willoughby and Robbie Glen also scored tries.
Willoughby and McCormack had a try each by the break, before the Vikings went on with it in the second half.
"In the second half, we turned it up another notch," Kable said.
McCormack was a standout again, while Scotsman Glen also had a great game.
Ben Pursell was another of Vikings' best.
The team is struggling with wet-weather footy at the moment. It happened in the Pirates match on the previous weekend, and again on Saturday.
Kable said there would be plenty of skills sessions at training this week to overcome it.
The team will take on Southern Cross University.
Vikings put 90 points on the students the last time the two sides met, but University won't lose by that many this time.
"They've re-grouped as a club," Kable said.
McCormack and Waylen Skipps have been rewarded with Country selection for a match next weekend. They celebrated the news at the Vikings' 20th anniversary ball at Rydges on Saturday night.
Former Wallaby Clyde Rathbone was a speaker, along with his brother Dane, who's a comedian.
Kable was named coach of the Vikings' team of the decade.
He was thrilled to be recognised.
"I'm blown away," Kable said.
"It wasn't expected at all."
There were some sore heads in the club as the players recovered yesterday.
