That is the message from Port Macquarie Sharks president Phil Trembath.
“They will have a lot of wins in them if they can do that,” he said.
The message comes after the Sharks 40-12 win against the Old Bar Beach Pirates on Saturday.
He said the team looked good for glimpses but said the intensity often fell away.
The passion was certainly there at the beginning of the match when Zac Alyward crossed for a four-pointer in the first 30 seconds.
The Pirates responded with their own try before the Sharks managed to kick away again.
Trembath said the second half became a “dour struggle” between the two before the Sharks added to the score again to take the win.
“They just need to put a full 80 minutes together,” he said. “They’re going along well and winning, but at times we’re our own worst enemy.
“They’re fit enough it just comes down to mental lapses in the game.”
Scott Grant had an impressive game coming off the bench and was awarded players' player for his efforts
Captain-coach Matt Shipway, Joey Cudmore and David Luck all had solid games.
That gives the Sharks two wins from as many attempts, they will head south to take on the Taree City Bulls this weekend.
