In what has been Aussie rules' answer to the local derby in the area, the rivals will meet once again. This time Laurieton Oval is the venue.
Magpies president Carroll said the rivilry between the two teams was a positive for the game.
"It's turning out to be like the other rivalries in town," Carroll said.
"We're growing in the same way as other codes."
The Bombers are yet to beat the Magpies and Carroll believes that adds fuel to the fire each time the teams meet.
"They've never beaten us but that adds to the event," Carroll said.
"Eventually they will. It's just a matter of how long we can keep them from winning."
And it was that motivation that Carroll said made the Bombers dangerous.
"They can't make the finals but I'm sure they would just love to knock us off," he said.
"We don't need to amp it up for a game like this. All the players know there's enough motivation out there."
