Macquarie beat Comboyne at Wayne Richards Park, in a low-scoring match.
Comboyne batted first and scored just 78, which Macquarie Hotel passed two wickets down, but the scorecard didn't reflect the match.
Macquarie found runs hard to come by, until Michael Pelley came in towards the end and guided the team home. Englishmen Luke Findlay and Matt Spenceley were the wickets Macquarie lost.
Findlay was caught by Sam Tinsey for 18, while Spenceley fell to a Tom Rienstra catch for 11. Comboyne captain Andrew Glover was the best with the ball. His four overs conceded seven runs, with one wicket. Rienstra took 1-26 from his four.
Earlier, Comboyne found batting even tougher. Regular wickets fell to ensure the team never really got going.
Young-gun Jackson Thompson batted well. He scored 13 before Michael Pelley caught him off his own bowling.
