Paramedics were driving past as the scene unfolded and quickly stopped to extinguish the blaze.
The 41-year-old rider Linda Boulton escaped unharmed and managed to steer her bike off the road.
Emergency Services were called to the scene but reported no traffic disruptions or further issues.
Ms Boulton believes a short circuit in the wiring harness could have sparked the fire.
"It just went 'boom' and burst into flames as I came up to the donut," Ms Boulton said.
"Then the ambos pulled up and one jumped out with a fire extinguisher - she [the motorbike] was well in flames."
