Two girls were walking along Kew Road about 6pm when they saw a car parked near a block of units.
A man sitting inside the driver’s seat of the vehicle called out to one of the girls, a 16-year-old, offering her an amount of cash to get into his car. When she declined, he drove off in an unknown direction.
The vehicle was described to police as a small, dark-coloured hatchback bearing a red-coloured P plate.
The man was described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his late 20s, unshaven with short brown spiky hair and wearing a t-shirt.
