Local fans will be treated to a world class experience when 1D World – the official merchandise store for British boy band One Direction – comes to town on Friday as part of its east coast road tour.
Whilst unfortunately for diehard fans the boys themselves won't be there - at least you can buy some genuine 1D merchandise between 9am and 5pm at the McDonald's Restaurant near Settlement City in Port Macquarie.
This follows the opening of the massive 1D World ‘pop-up’ retail store in New York last month. It has attracted thousands of 1-Directioners.
Earlier this year, 1D World also made appearances all over Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
1D World operations manager, Victoria Orford, said the new, purpose-built 1D World truck is travelling from Cairns to Albury-Wodonga up until the end of January and stopping at McDonald’s restaurants along the way. One Direction will be performing sold-out shows across Australia in September 2013.
Fans who are unable to visit the 1D World truck can visit www.1dworld.com.au to purchase merchandise or you can follow the action @1dworldmerch on Twitter.
Crowds of teens are expected to take advantage of the road trip to get their hands on a limited number of T-shirts, hoodies, posters, photo sets, wristbands, photo frames, phone covers, bags, notebooks, dolls and more.
“We’re looking forward to sharing the experience with local Directioners in regional areas and some excitement these school holidays,” Ms Orford said.
