CONGRATS to the HRDCA and the three levels of government support for making the Wayne Richards Sporting Complex possible since planning began in 1996. Watching the first twenty/20 game under lights last week was a great spectacle and perhaps in the years to come the venue can compete with the Coffs Harbour International Stadium and host major events with the addition of a grandstand, scoreboard and PA system. Without getting ahead of ourselves, one day we could have the Swans or Giants play an AFL pre-season trial game or have the NSW Blues feature in a one-day game at the Koala Street field. However Port's Regional Stadium will still be our No.1 venue for all rugby league, union, football and touch footy fixtures.
