About Our Client

Our client is one of Australasia's fastest growing and largest retailers, with over 150+ stores Australia-wide. They have a portfolio of several well-known and renowned Retail stores, with a promising growth vision over the next decade. Currently, they are seeking an established Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in Southbank.

Job Description

As the Senior Group Accountant your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation, review and analysis of group management reports and tracking of financial performance against forecasts/last year
• Management of Group annual compliance audit requirements
• Preparation and review of domestic and overseas tax reporting
• Group Statutory Reporting with exposure to entity types, complex structures and key stakeholders
• Continuous review of operations to ensure compliance with governing bodies
• Structuring and estate compliance, International investments compliance
• Assisting with Board, Tax & Governance, Superannuation and Investment Committee reporting requirements
• Work closely with the Retail, Property, Investments, Legal and Treasury functions
• Liaise with third party stakeholder and service providers
• Exposure to Senior leadership and key group stakeholders
• Coaching, Executive mentoring and continual professional development opportunities

The Successful Applicant

You will be CA/CPA Qualified with at least 5 years' experience within a similar position & industry. You will have started your career in a Big-4/Mid-tier environment, and since gained valuable industry experience in Financial Accounting & Compliance. You will have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to partner with a wide array of senior stakeholders.
