At about 12.05am Wednesday morning Manning-Great Lakes Highway Patrol detected a Ford ute speeding at more than double the speed limit.
Officers eventually caught up to the vehicle and stopped it at Moorland before speaking to the driver.
The 35-year-old Victorian man was issued a court attendance notice for driving a vehicle at a speed dangerous to the public and exceeding the speed limit over 45km/h.
He will appear in Taree Local Court on Tuesday November 20. His drivers licence was also suspended on the spot.
