FOTSUN is in its 15th year and has still delivered a unique and fresh line-up over three big days as well as plenty of sideshow fun for punters at the Breakwall Tourist Park.
Headlining FOTSUN are Vera Blue, Pond, Winston Surfshirt,m Skeggs, Tkay Maidza, Remi, Angie McMahon, West Thebarton, Didirri, Slowly Slowly, Kwame, Emily Wurramara, Clowns, Boat Show, Pist Idiots, Good Doogs, Clews, Jess Locke, Body Type, Triple One, Clypso, Halcyon Drive, Grace Turner and Unearthed.
The fun kicked off on Thursday night with Silent Comedy and Beats with the Mid North Coast’s very own funny man, Andrew Saunders, bringing some of his best from the Melbourne Comedy festival to the stage.
In a special health initiative launched this year, festival-goers are being asked to wee in a cup.
FOTSUN was one of the first festivals to run the Down the Test campaign. In 2017 more than 580 festival attendees were tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) – about 11 per cent of the crowd.
Festival-goers simply need to pee into a cup to receive entry into the exclusive Down the Test area.
This interesting entry fee may raise some eyebrows, however it’s all in aid of keeping young people sexually safe.
Inside the area, music-goers will find the ultimate chill out zone complete with biodegradable glitter bar, phone charging stations and toilets.
Local non for profit organisations, Pash and headspace are also on board throughout the weekend offering additional assistance and advice.
