United came from a goal down to level the scores at halftime after a Brett Ervine strike had cancelled out Josh Walpole’s 24th minute effort for Wallis.
Jarred Kohler then provided the heroics in the second half of extra time after Dave Pugh’s header cannoned off the crossbar and into his path where he made no mistake.
The result was a replica of the last meeting between the two sides a fortnight ago when United also recovered from an early deficit to progress to the big dance.
With the scores locked at 1-all at the break, moments came and went as did chances for both sides to take the lead.
It became one of those games where the next goal scorer was likely to be the winner but neither side were able to find the net in regulation time.
The match went in to extra time and no goal was found in the opening 10 minutes.
The sides swapped ends and players started to struggle after an intense match in the heat.
The winning goal finally came in the 104th minute for the side from Port Macquarie, six minutes before the dreaded penalty shoot out.
United then held on, backing their defence which had been strong all season.
Extra time came to an end and the double was complete for United in the reserve grade competition.
Kohler was named man of the match.
