Port Macquarie CWA Branch handicraft group members and others tapped into their creativity to make the gifts.
Hours of work and care went into 18 bags, each containing a rug and soft toy.
The branch will donate the bags to the Mid North Coast Local Health District for children in out of home care.
Port Macquarie CWA Branch craft officer Marilyn Brown said about the donated items: “It is a little cuddly thing that is just theirs.
“It’s a little token from us.”
The branch’s handicraft group and supporters lovingly made the items for donation.
Assistant craft officer Margaret Wilson said: “It’s a good feeling for everybody that is doing their bit.”
Mid North Coast Local Health District integrated child and family wellbeing manager Janet Cormick said the generous gifts would mean so much to the children.
“The generosity of the CWA members is heartening,” she said.
